In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government is prepared to spend a total of over $197 billion in relief for K-12 education.
In December of 2020, Congress passed H.R.133, which builds upon the efforts toward education relief made in the CARES Act from the spring of 2020. Among the funds allocated in H.R.133, $57 billion has been set aside for K-12 schools. The vast majority of these funds will move through the Title I allocation mechanism, with 90% going directly to school districts.
With two rounds of relief funding on the books and a third bill expected soon, schools and districts nationwide are navigating the complex process of receiving and budgeting these funds while also ensuring that they are being allocated in a way that is compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines.
That’s why PowerSchool has partnered with the Whiteboard Advisors team to bring you this informative webinar that will clarify many of the topics around H.R.133, CARES Act, and future funding. Join us as we discuss available funding levels, allowable uses, and key deadlines. This discussion will be followed by a Q&A session where our presenters will respond to your most pressing funding questions.
