Hardeep Gulati
Chief Executive Officer
Hardeep is an innovative leader and executive with more than two decades of experience leading software businesses. Hardeep’s passion for education and proven expertise in guiding companies through periods of growth has been instrumental to PowerSchool’s growth. Under Hardeep’s leadership, PowerSchool has introduced award-winning education technology solutions and made a lasting impact on the future of K-12 education. For Hardeep, leading a company that includes thousands of educators and technology specialists is a natural evolution of his lifelong commitment to harnessing the power of technology to transform lives and unlock student potential. Hardeep brings that ethos and his belief that a high-quality education is a fundamental right to his leadership of PowerSchool.
Hardeep has successfully led PowerSchool’s growth to become the most comprehensive K-12 education software suite in North America, including recent acquisitions of Allovue, SchoolMessenger, Neverskip, Schoology, Hoonuit, and Naviance. Additionally, he oversaw the expansion of talent from 500 to more than 3,000 employees. PowerSchool is now one of the largest education technology providers serving more than 55 million students in over 90 countries.
Hardeep was recently recognized in the Globee® Awards as a Winner in the CEO Achiever | Leader of the Year and CEO of the Year | Cloud Computing, SaaS, or Internet categories. He has also been the recipient of EdTech Breakthrough’s EdTech Company CEO of the Year Award, EdTech Digest’s EdTech Leadership/CEO Award, and The Software Report ranked Hardeep number five on its 2021 list of 50 SaaS CEOs where he was honored as the top-ranking education software CEO within the list of prestigious executives.
Prior to joining PowerSchool in 2015, Hardeep was CEO of SumTotal Systems. Under his leadership, the company became the #1 market leader in enterprise LMS and saw record-breaking growth in cloud computing services. During Hardeep’s tenure, SumTotal provided talent expansion solutions, which enable continuous and contextual learning for employees to improve talent engagement, productivity, and business results to 43 million users with small-to-midsized organizations as well as half of the Fortune 500. Hardeep joined SumTotal after his time at Oracle, where he led strategy and product development across a variety of enterprise application areas, including Master Data Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Manufacturing, and other industry solutions. Before Oracle, Hardeep was Vice President of Products at SpinCircuit, an information exchange enterprise software company founded by Cadence, HP, Flextronics, and Avnet. He was also founder and CTO at eBizAutomation, an enterprise integration company that was acquired by SpinCircuit. Early in his career, Hardeep held senior consulting positions at Lucent Technologies and Dun & Bradstreet.
Hardeep received his Master’s degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and is graduate of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. He received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Hardeep loves to spend time with family—traveling, biking, golfing, and playing chess with his kids.
Brent Bowman
Chief Financial Officer
Brent Bowman is the chief financial officer at PowerSchool. He is responsible for the finance, accounting, financial operations, treasury, facilities and information technology functions. Brent brings more than 30 years of public and private company corporate and operational finance experience across the technology industry, including software (SaaS), semiconductors and hardware sectors. Brent has built high performing teams and has successfully led finance organizations at large scale and industry specific companies.
Prior to PowerSchool, Brent was at Veeva Systems (VEEV), where he served as CFO since 2020. While at Veeva, the business nearly doubled in revenue to ~ $2.7 billion and operating margin grew to ~ 40% with a market ca p of over $30 billion. Over his career, Brent has also held financial leadership positions at [24]7.ai, Intel, Altera, and Sun Microsystems.
Brent received his Bachelor of Arts degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Brent started his career with EY and obtained his CPA license in the state of California.
Brent is a California native and a sports and outdoor enthusiast. He and his wife, Julie, have two sons, who both live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. They enjoy traveling, the ocean, the mountains and wine country.
Tony Kender
Chief Revenue Officer
Tony Kender is the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at PowerSchool. Tony has 30+ years of experience in applications software and information services, as well as leadership of sales, global marketing and channels teams across all industries and selling motions.
Prior to joining PowerSchool, Tony was CRO at FinancialForce where he was responsible for all go-to-market teams from sales to marketing to channels. There he led the business back to revenue growth and delivered their best growth year in company history. Kender also served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of North America Human Capital Management Sales at Oracle. In this role, he led the Oracle Enterprise go-to-market sales strategy and execution, transforming the organization from on-premises offerings to the cloud business with a SaaS value proposition. In addition, Tony has held sales and marketing leadership roles at CorpU, Intralinks, SAP, and ADP.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University. He also has Harvard Executive Training in various leadership and sales skills. In his free time, he likes to exercise and spend time with family and friends.
Devendra Singh
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer for PowerSchool, Devendra is responsible for all Product Development and Cloud Operations within the company. He brings more than 20 years of experience in building enterprise-class software and cloud solutions for managing mission-critical business processes at Fortune 1,000 companies. Prior to joining PowerSchool, Devendra was Vice President of Product Development at Oracle where he led global development teams to build best-in-class Product Lifecycle Management solutions for customers in High Tech, Industrial Manufacturing, and Life Science industries. Before Oracle, he held senior positions in Product Development and Product Management at Agile Software and participated in major business transformation initiatives as a Management Consultant with A.T. Kearney.
Devendra earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
In his spare time, Devendra is a road biking and hiking enthusiast. He has hiked rim to rim to rim in the Grand Canyon, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, summited Mount Whitney, reached several 14,000 feet peaks in the Sierra Nevada, and hiked to 21,000 feet on Aconcagua in Argentina. His next challenge is always just around the corner.
Shivani Stumpf
Chief Product and Innovation Officer
Shivani Stumpf is the Chief Product and Innovation Officer at PowerSchool. She is responsible for developing PowerSchool’s strategic product vision and managing the company’s overarching product roadmap and product innovation. Stumpf is an innovative leader with over two decades of experience and a strong track record in guiding product, technology and business strategy for SaaS companies and leveraging data and AI to drive transformative growth.
Since joining PowerSchool in October 2020, Shivani launched the first education data-as-a-service platform, Connected Intelligence, to forge equitable pathways and economic mobility for all individuals. Prior to her current role, she was Senior Vice President of Analytics at PowerSchool, following the acquisition of Hoonuit, a K12 Edtech Analytics business where she led product and technology strategy as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Hoonuit, Shivani held technology and product management leadership positions at SPS Commerce, a $400M publicly traded cloud-based supply chain management SaaS company, and at Sport Ngin (now SportsEngine), a cloud-based sports management solution for sports-event organizers, which was later acquired by NBC Sports.
Shivani is a Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Executive Finance graduate. She holds a Master of Sciences degree in Computer Science from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a 100% scholarship and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from the Manipal Institute of Technology in India.
Paul Brook
Chief Customer Officer
Paul Brook is the Chief Customer Officer at PowerSchool, overseeing PowerSchool’s Professional Services and Customer Support teams. Paul is responsible for growing the Services and Support organization’s capabilities and the company’s customer-first culture, placing PowerSchool customers at the forefront of every business decision. Paul brings over two-decades of customer success experience, including developing and managing world-class customer success, services, support, and renewal organizations for SaaS and on-premises software companies. Paul credits customer success, customer satisfaction, and service excellence as a cornerstone of any successful business and believes every conversation should start by putting the customer “in the middle of the room.”
Previously, Paul was the Global Head of Customer Success & Services at HashiCorp, where he served as a member of the Leadership team and led the Customer Success Management, Customer Success Architects, Professional Services, and Customer Enablement organizations. Paul was also the first Chief Customer Officer at Spigit, where he guided major sales and acquisitions, and Vice President at Oracle, leading a Global Customer Support team of over 2,500 employees while responsible for the Global EBusiness, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, and Fusion Support organizations. In his free time, Paul enjoys playing golf and spending time with family.
Michael Bisignano
Chief Legal Officer
Michael Bisignano joined PowerSchool as Chief Legal Officer in August 2021. He is responsible for all legal, compliance, governance, and risk management functions. Michael brings more than 20 years of experience assisting publicly traded, technology-driven companies as they undergo strategic transformations. His background includes serving as a strategic advisor to boards and executive management on critical matters, including strategic financial and commercial transactions, complex litigation portfolios, and shareholder engagement issues.
Before coming to PowerSchool, Michael served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Terminix Global Holdings, Inc. (f/k/a ServiceMaster Global Holdings, Inc.), where he supervised the legal process associated with the $1.5 billion divestiture of the ServiceMaster business unit. He also served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of CA Technologies, a $4 billion revenue enterprise software provider that was sold to Broadcom in 2018. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Blackboard, Inc., an education technology provider that he helped take private in a leveraged buy-out transaction in 2011.
Michael began his legal career at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, performing international project finance transactions. Previously, Michael was an investment banker in the Structured Finance Group at Morgan Stanley.
Michael received his J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School, his B.S. in Economics/Finance from the Wharton School of Business, and his B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., and Tennessee. Michael has served as a member of the Board of Trustees at St. John’s Community Services, providing innovative, community-based services to people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities to search for the most effective ways to include people into the living fabric of the community.
Michael has three high-school-aged children whose extracurricular activities occupy the vast majority of his time. He is also an instrument-rated pilot and an avid athlete.
Michèle Haddad
Chief People Officer
As Chief People Officer, Michèle is responsible for leading and building the Talent organization, with emphasis on employee experience and putting our people first while attracting and aligning diverse talent to drive business results.
Michèle brings with her over 20+ years of experience in delivering forward-thinking, business-focused solutions that produce strong, sustainable results. She thrives on leading large-scale business transformation, strategic planning, and process improvement for global initiatives. She has extensive experience in the areas of compensation planning, acquisitions, HRIS, financial forecasting, and global expansion.
Before coming to PowerSchool, Michèle was the Chief People Officer at TIBCO Corporation, where she transitioned the HR organization toward a scalable model to support business objectives; redesigned global compensation plans; and led the acquisitions of multiple companies, ensuring a streamlined experience for employees. Prior to her promotion to Chief People Officer, Michèle was a Senior Director of FP&A at TIBCO, where she led all management reporting, annual planning, budgeting, and quarterly financial forecasts for worldwide teams.
Michèle is originally from Sacramento and earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance, and her MBA, from Santa Clara University. Her free time is mostly spent with her two children, Grant (14) and Emilie (12), and her Cavapoo, Ace. She and her husband, Scott, love traveling and introducing their children to new cultures whenever possible. She is a certified diver and has a strong love of the ocean.
Darron Flagg
Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Privacy Officer
Darron Flagg is Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Privacy Officer at PowerSchool. In his current role, he leads PowerSchool’s global regulatory compliance and privacy program, advises the executive staff, and supports operational initiatives. Previously he served as PowerSchool General Counsel. He brings more than 20 years of legal and business experience with global technology transactions.
Prior to joining PowerSchool in 2018, Darron spent 13 years at Intel Corporation serving as Associate Director, Legal negotiating and advising executives on manufacturing, R&D, procurement, sales, marketing, and licensing transactions for multiple divisions within the company. As lead counsel for Intel’s embedded sales division, he supported over $10 billion in revenue annually. A long-time legal counsel and business partner of Intel’s nonvolatile memory division, Darron advised on the multi-billion dollar R&D and manufacturing joint venture between Intel and Micron Technology. A member of Intel’s prestigious leadership council (IBLC), Darron directed compliance efforts for the division and even served as the Intel site pro-bono chair.
Before Intel, he worked at a major law firm in Germany (now known as Clifford Chance), supporting cross-border M&A transactions, and served as an adjunct law professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt. He also spent time as an in-house entertainment attorney for two global companies: Summit Entertainment (now a part of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp) and Helkon Media AG.
A member of the California State Bar, Darron holds a bachelor’s degree in music and a minor in German studies from California State University, Northridge, an MBA (Finance) from Thunderbird School of Global management, and a JD from UCLA School of Law. In addition, he has earned executive education certifications from Harvard Law School, Willamette University, and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
When not focusing on his managerial and legal responsibilities, Darron is an avid learner and accomplished classical musician
Grayson Williams
Chief Information Officer
Grayson Williams joined PowerSchool in July 2022 as Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for the IT, Data Services and Facilities organizations, standardizing our global IT footprint, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing critical applications and end-user services to the company.
Grayson has relocated from the East Coast to be in our Folsom headquarters. He brings over 24+ years of experience directing and transforming effective IT operations enable business growth and adaptability. He has worked at several impressive companies, including two startups, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hewlett Packard, Qualys, Red Hat, and PwC, among others.
Grayson received his Political Science and Government bachelor’s degree from Lipscomb University. Since then, he has taught at Hunter College and Queen’s College while pursuing a PhD at CUNY Graduate School. He is a husband and father of 3 children in addition to 3 dogs. Grayson advocates giving back, having served on the boards of several non-profits, including Senior Housing Solutions and Cedar Springs Waldorf School. In his spare time, Grayson is an avid scuba diver and cyclist.
Rajen Datta
Chief of Staff to the CEO
Rajen Datta is the Chief of Staff to the CEO at PowerSchool, overseeing strategic planning, collaboration, and special projects. Rajen brings over 20 years of experience and a strong track record in operational governance, profit & loss management, business strategy and functional leadership across industries at start-ups, midsize businesses, and large enterprises.
Prior to PowerSchool, Rajen was the Founder, President and CEO at Qulsar, Inc. where he led revenue growth, raised investment financing, and successfully managed mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Rajen spent over a decade at Symmetricom, Inc. where he led product line growth, and transformed business models to expand into new markets and applications. Rajen also led business and product strategy transformation as Vice President, Product Management at SpinCircuit, Inc.
Rajen holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Physics from Presidency College, Kolkata, India, a Master’s in Computer Science from University of Oregon, and a Master’s in Technology Management degree from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
In his free time, Rajen loves to spend time outdoors with his family — hiking, biking and kayaking.
Apoorav Nischal
Managing Director, PowerSchool India
Apoorav Nischal is the Managing Director and country head for PowerSchool India. Under Apoorav’s leadership, PowerSchool India grew to 1000 employees in just three and a half years. In his role, Apoorav ensures that the region is optimized to support PowerSchool’s development through product knowledge, scale, skill, and operational excellence.
Apoorav has two and a half decades of expertise in IT and a deep understanding of the intersection between technology and business needs. He has an established background in strategic planning, customer engagement, program management, and application operations. Apoorav excels at establishing operations, expanding business, and building a culture of excellence.
Before joining PowerSchool, Apoorav was Deputy General Manager at HCL Technologies. There, he headed global share service delivery (GSSD) for Asia Pacific (APAC) in application operation and delivery and was also responsible for building a center of excellence in northern India.
Apoorav holds a degree in electronics engineering from India’s Regional Engineering Colleges (now National Institutes of Technology) and a master’s degree in IT. He was awarded a national merit scholarship by the Indian government.
Outside of work, Apoorav loves to spend time with his boys playing cricket and badminton.
