We also invest more in research and development than any other K-12 provider. For example, our 2022 Education Focus Report: Top District Priorities and Shifts in PK-12 Education revealed juggling multiple digital tools for teaching and learning as the top technology challenge for educators. • My PowerSchool Parent Portal
  • Family engagement is critical to student success. Educators consistently tell us it’s the secret ingredient to successful learning and developmental support. When teachers and parents are on the same page, students stand on a solid foundation for growth.

What does the My PowerSchool Parent Portal offer?

Imagine a family who has three kids going to two different schools within the district. They have seven homework assignments due within the week and one has a field trip coming up. There’s a PTO meeting on Thursday, and picture day … you can’t remember if you placed your order or not! It’s okay—every parent has been there. With so much going on, it can be difficult for parents to stay on top of it all and still align with teachers to support their students’ learning progress. The My PowerSchool Parent Portal gives families one place to go for everything they need to know. In a few moments, they see which homework assignments need to get done first, when the field trip permission slip is due, and a link to order and pay for pictures. They can also see teacher messages to stay caught up on what’s going on in the classroom. There’s no logging in and out of different systems—it’s all there in one place.

What does the My PowerSchool Student Portal offer?

The My PowerSchool Student Portal pulls together everything students have going on in their busy lives so they can focus on success and growth. Through their portal, they can see their entire school schedule, reach out to teachers and peers for help or collaboration, see progress toward postsecondary goals, and even feel more engaged with clubs, activities, and sports.

As with the My PowerSchool Parent Portal, the Student Portal brings together the most important information and functions from different software tools into one seamless experience for students. It represents the future of edtech—creating a better, more adaptable system to help students realize their potential.

What other Portals will be launching?

We’re rolling out new portals as we develop them and are very encouraged by the early success we’ve seen with the My PowerSchool Parent and Student Portals.
