Give your staff and students the most robust college, career, and life readiness solution
The 2022 Naviance Student Survey Report indicates that students want more support from their schools to discover their strengths and interests and explore career possibilities. Students also reported a desire for more help staying on track to achieve their goals.
We know you don’t want to ask your school staff, who are already overworked and overburdened, to create more content for your district’s postsecondary programming. Yet students are clearly expressing what they need to feel confident about their futures and the choices they’re making that will impact their post-graduate opportunities.
With Naviance Premium, the upgraded version of Naviance Core, students will have 24/7 access to additional tools that directly meet their wants while staff and districts will benefit from robust reporting functionality to help track and measure the effectiveness of CCLR initiatives, resulting in better outcomes for all.
The College, Career, and Life Readiness Framework® is a research-backed framework that outlines six core competencies that prepare students for their futures:
- Career knowledge
- College knowledge
- Interpersonal skills
- Social and emotional learning (SEL)
- Transition skills
- Academic skills
Naviance Premium was developed to help ensure you have a holistic college, career, and life readiness solution that supports all students, staff, and family needs in preparing for postsecondary success.

Why You Should Upgrade to Naviance Premium
- Course Planner. Research suggests that students who make formal course plans attempt 2.68 more credit hours each semester than students who do not. Across eight semesters of high school, that adds up to more than 21 credits of class—credits that can propel a student forward on their postsecondary journey or that can cause a seemingly-insurmountable gap. With Naviance’s Course Planner, middle and high school students can map out six- and four-year course plans, respectively, orienting their class choices around graduation requirements as well as their own strengths and interests. Multi-year course plans help students stay on track for on-time graduation, align their academic focuses, and create tangible goals. One district in California created more than 4,000 course plans for its students within its first months of having Naviance, contributing to the building of a robust CCLR program.
- Student Readiness Report (SRR). Family involvement in a student’s schooling improves graduation rates and bolsters regular attendance. With the Student Readiness Report (SRR), staff, students, and families benefit from an easy-to-read student summary that measures student progress toward graduation and postsecondary goals. Families get a valuable snapshot of their student’s performance and can intervene as necessary.
- Career Key. The Career Key is a research-backed assessment that measures the tendencies of John Holland’s six personality types:
- Realistic
- Investigative
- Artistic
- Social
- Enterprising
- Conventional
Students are matched with careers based on their identified Holland code combination. Both middle and high school students can take the assessment to begin exploring a variety of occupations that best fit their personality. The assessment is fully integrated within Naviance.
- CCLR Curriculum. The benefits of social and emotional learning (SEL) are well-documented and include improved academic achievement, improved social behaviors, and lower levels of distress. The Naviance CCLR Curriculum helps students develop critical SEL knowledge and skills about:
- Identity building
- Emotion regulation
- Goal setting
- Interpersonal relationship management
- Decision-making
Scoped and sequenced for grades 6-12, the curriculum can be assigned by teachers or accessed and worked through independently. It’s also fully integrated with PowerSchool Schoology Learning, so students can access lessons without leaving their LMS.
- Insights Premium. CCLR initiatives must be measured in order to determine their usefulness. With Insights Premium, robust and interactive data dashboards help administrators and staff track and measure the effectiveness of CCLR programming.
- PowerSchool Integration. Naviance integrates with Schoology Learning and PowerSchool SIS, bringing CCLR preparation into a student’s profile to render a more complete portrait of their progress. The Naviance CCLR curriculum is accessible through Schoology, helping students connect what they’re learning in class to their future plans. Staff can see the entirety of a student’s information without ever leaving the PowerSchool ecosystem.
Your students deserve every advantage you can give them. With Naviance Premium, you’ll do just that.
